Great to meet you!

Hello there! I'm Mitzi and am so glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings including foster care, community mental health, schools, and 5 years of international experience in a multicultural setting. I work with children through adults who may be experiencing emotional and behavioral issues such as depression, anxiety, foster care/adoption related issues, social challenges, ADHD, learning differences, attachment difficulties, as well as trauma related concerns. Being a mom of 7, I also enjoy working with moms of all stages through the challenges of motherhood.

My approach to therapy

I am a compassionate and relational therapist who enjoys curating services to meet each client where they are. I provide a safe space to be yourself, gain understanding into patterns of behavior and thinking, tools to untangle your emotions and empower you through evidence based interventions to help you move forward in confidence.

What you can expect from me

The first session is made as comfortable as possible- from the comfy couch to a snack if you choose. I will ask some questions to better understand who you are and what your goals are for therapy. My hope for each client after their first visit is that they feel understood and are hopeful as we make a plan to move forward together.
