Great to meet you!

I am a double board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, with over 17 years of clinical experience supporting individuals and families through a wide range of mental health challenges. I completed my adult psychiatry residency at BronxCare Health System in New York and my fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UT Houston in Texas, which gave me a strong foundation in both developmental and adult mental health care.

I am licensed in Texas, California, and Tennessee, and I have more than six years of experience providing telepsychiatry. This has allowed me to offer high-quality, accessible care to clients across multiple states while maintaining a personal, connected, and thoughtful approach in a virtual setting.

My style is compassionate, patient-centered, and collaborative. I believe in careful listening, thorough assessment, and shared decision-making so that treatment feels like a partnership, not a one-size-fits-all process. I work to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable being open about their experiences.

I specialize in working with children and adolescents with ADHD, depression, and anxiety, using a developmentally informed approach that supports both the child and their family. For adults, I focus on depression, anxiety, and PTSD, using a trauma-aware and strengths-based framework. My goal is not only symptom relief, but also helping clients build insight, resilience, and a sense of control over their mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe that effective treatment begins with truly listening and understanding each client’s unique story, experiences, and goals. I take time to conduct thorough evaluations and ensure that clients feel heard, respected, and involved in every step of their care.

I use a patient-centered and individualized approach, recognizing that no two people are the same. Together, we develop treatment plans that are tailored to each client’s needs, preferences, and life circumstances. I emphasize shared decision-making, clear communication, and education, so clients feel empowered and informed about their treatment options.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients can openly discuss their concerns. My goal is to not only reduce symptoms, but also to support long-term emotional well-being, improved functioning, and a stronger sense of confidence and self-understanding.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, you can expect a warm, calm, and non-judgmental environment where they feel safe to share their concerns. I begin by getting to know each client as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms. This includes discussing current challenges, mental health history, personal background, and what they hope to gain from treatment.

I conduct a thorough and thoughtful evaluation to better understand symptoms, patterns, and underlying factors, while making sure clients feel heard and respected throughout the process. I also take time to answer questions, provide education, and clarify any concerns about diagnoses or treatment options.

By the end of the session, we work together to identify clear goals and develop an initial, collaborative treatment plan. Clients should leave feeling informed, supported, and confident about the next steps in their care.
