Great to meet you!

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years in nursing, I am passionate about providing thoughtful, compassionate mental health care. Over the past four years, I have worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns and take pride in being an empathetic listener who genuinely cares about each person I serve.

My approach is collaborative, holistic, and empowering. I believe patients should feel supported and informed when making decisions about their mental health. By treating the whole person—mind, body, and life circumstances—I aim to help individuals feel more balanced, confident, and in control of their well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and holistic. I strive to create a compassionate and supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I believe in working closely with individuals to help them take an active role in their treatment and health decisions while providing clinical guidance and education. I focus on treating the whole person rather than just symptoms, considering emotional, psychological, lifestyle, and environmental factors that impact mental well-being. My goal is to support patients in achieving balance, improved functioning, and long-term wellness through a thoughtful, individualized approach to care.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental environment during their first session. The initial visit is primarily focused on getting to know them as a whole person. I will ask questions about their current concerns, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle, and goals for treatment. This helps me gain a comprehensive understanding of what they’re experiencing and how best to support them.

We will also discuss what has or hasn’t worked in the past, any current stressors, and what they hope to achieve through care. I take a collaborative approach, so clients are encouraged to ask questions, share openly, and be active participants in developing their treatment plan. If appropriate, we may discuss possible diagnoses, treatment options, and whether medication, therapy, or lifestyle adjustments may be helpful.

My goal for the first session is for clients to feel heard, respected, and supported, and to leave with a clearer understanding of next steps and a plan that feels comfortable and aligned with their needs.
