Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with patients who have experienced trauma and are seeking insight into the origins of their symptoms in order to achieve symptom reduction. These patients, through psychoeducation and deep exploration, come to find that the symptoms are manifestations of unresolved emotion and unexplored inner worlds. I am also a student at Harvard University. I offer online Therapy exclusively. I best work using psychodynamic approaches I was trained in at the Saint Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. Deeper trauma therapy has plenty of benefits and also risks, such as trigger. I am also trained to identify and keep patients in their window of tolerance while processing. We can further discuss if this meets your specific needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach involves using my creative clinical skill set to link present symptoms to past experiences that are keeping patients "stuck." I use a mind-body approach to assist patients in connecting to their higher selves, which can facilitate autonomous healing. Together we will create a personalized, warm, and safe dynamic that in itself allows you to work through developmental blocks just by taking part in the relationship. I may not be the best option for concerns such as eating disorders that are active, as well as active domestic violence concerns. However, when stabilized and no longer active, this can be someting we can discuss working with. OCD concerns may not best fit my approach, due to increased rumination risks. When necessary, I can refer to competent colleagues with specific expertise in these areas. I specialize in longer-term, intensive trauma therapy, which comes with the risk of trigger. However, I am trained to identify and keep patients in their window of tolerance to best process, and can de-escalate when necessary. Due to the intensive nature of care, it is best practice within my modality to see each other weekly, and sometimes more often depending on individual needs. I ask that patients maintain reasonable attendance in order for the therapy to be helpful. Depending on several factors taken into consideration, three weeks to months and longer may warrant a referral to a different modality with trusted colleagues.

What you can expect from me

more meaningful lives and deeper understanding of their inner worlds in order to help alleviate the symptoms patients present with and to find the root cause of the symptoms in order to try to prevent further episodes.
