Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Mollie Smetana, LCSW, a New York-based clinical social worker specializing in anxiety, relationship concerns, and eating disorders. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from New York University and have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, body image concerns, disordered eating, self-esteem, and life transitions. I also hold additional training in eating disorders and body image through the William Alanson White Institute.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I draw from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness to help you understand your thoughts, break unhelpful patterns, and develop strategies that work in your life. Whether you’re navigating recovery, school/career pressures, or just trying to feel a little more “okay” day-to-day, we’ll move at a pace that fits you.

What you can expect from me

I know starting therapy can feel intimidating. My clients often say they leave sessions feeling seen, heard, and understood, with clarity and perspective on the changes they want to make. If you’re ready to invest in in yourself and create meaningful, lasting change, I would love to work with you.
