Great to meet you!

I am often described as authentic, honest, caring, and deeply interested in helping people resolve issues that are interfering with the life they want to live. Prior to private practice, I worked in non-profits serving individuals with trauma histories, families in crisis, older adults, and women in life transitions. I have a varied background that includes working in the corporate world and living abroad. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Rutgers School of Social Work.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have an eclectic approach steeped in the traditions of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness practices to help clients develop strong coping skills. I believe that humor can help people face even the most difficult situations. Together, we work to accept or change problems, and build a path toward my client's desired life.

What you can expect from our first session

After sessions with me, clients can expect to feel understood, and to have another perspective on issues that they are facing. If they are feeling stuck, they begin to see a way forward. If they are feeling anxious, they start to learn coping strategies.
