I'm Molly, your guide through the therapeutic process. I am passionate about helping people thrive and move towards the life they want.
With a Masters of Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work, and over 10 years experience in the mental health field, I have seen the impact of experiential therapy, family of origin exploration, and building self-worth. Much of my experience comes from my work in residential treatment, aiding people through addiction, eating disorders, and anxiety. Through this time, I have been trained in a myriad of modalities, including EMDR, Equine Therapy, DBT, CBT, and Internal Family Systems.
I would love to get to know you, your story, and learn how we can work together to create the changes you are looking for.
Experiential therapy is a hand-on approach to mental health recovery. In session, we will use techniques to explore patterns and identify themes in your life, such as family of origin, core beliefs, unhealthy thinking patterns, attachment styles, anxiety triggers, and more. As we work together to discover more about your sense of self, we will practice implementing the changes you want to see.
In addition to having each session be an experience, I also approach helping others through an attachment and trauma informed lens. Connection, thus our attachment in relationships with others is at the basis of healing.
Why is experiential therapy the way to go? Life-change is all about action. In session, we can incorporate movement, relationship dynamics, and understand barriers that are impacting your ability to grow. Your mind and body will leave session with a new way of feeling that continues on.
