Great to meet you!

"Regardless of how long ago something happened, and regardless of how long symptoms have been there, it doesn't need to be permanent." From Getting Past Your Past (Shapiro, 2012)

Molly founded LA Therapy Alliance in 2021 after years of trauma-focused work with the California Department of Mental Health, Pasadena DMH, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, serving clients from adolescents to older adults. She holds an MSW from USC and a BFA from CalArts, a background that shapes her creative, culturally attuned approach to healing. She combines EMDR, TF-CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused modalities, always client-centered: you choose, together, what fits.

Molly sees healing as a sine wave, with ups and downs but always trending upward. Her work centers on creating the safety to let go of past trauma and rewrite your story. Molly takes a whole-person, holistic approach to mental health care. She is passionate about creating a safe space and considering the entire essence of an individual - mentally, physically (e.g. chronic pain, illness, etc.), and spiritually.

Molly is passionate about providing quality EMDR therapy to her clients and educating people about the wonders of this specific modality. Molly created the first-ever live-session EMDR podcast, The Fabric of Being (Apple Podcasts + Spotify) in 2026 for people to better understand this type of therapy and it's effectiveness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to meet my clients exactly where they are, moving at a pace that feels comfortable. Nothing about our session should or will feel rushed. Together, and with the use of EMDR, I can guarantee your life will change for the better within the first six weeks of utilizing the EMDR Eight Phase Protocol. Often I have been referred to as "the people's therapist" - meaning I meet my clients with a sense of humility, humor, openness, and kindness.

What you can expect from me

I believe that finding the right therapist is like dating! Our first session will be open and honest to make sure that I am the right clinician for you. We will discuss what your goals are, what your background is, and decide (together!) if we are a good fit.
