Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Molly! I am a trauma therapist supporting my clients in navigating challenges around childhood wounds, relationships, identity, and more. I am particularly passionate about working with women seeking a better sense of empowerment and confidence.

I believe the power of therapy is held in the quality of the relationship we develop. I am not a "blank slate" therapist; I believe authenticity is crucial to creating true trust and safety. I practice my own authenticity by doing things like making jokes with you, sharing pictures of my pets, or talking about the music you're listening to.

My approach to therapy

I lead with curiosity, making observations in a direct, but kind way. Those observations may be about things like the story you're telling, your body language, or possible patterns I'm noticing. This is an opportunity for you to check in and learn about what's happening in your system. But ultimately, YOU are the expert of your own experiences! We operate as a team, and you are always in the driver's seat.

I also always consider the societal and environmental influences on my clients' lived experiences. Throughout my professional life, I have learned how interconnected mental health is with systematic oppression. This perspective allows me to have much deeper understanding of my clients, and therefore, more powerful outcomes in therapy.

Together, we will explore your inner world through the lens of "parts"; all of us have parts of ourselves that come together to operate our emotional system. We will learn what these parts look like, and how they have learned to help you survive. Bilateral stimulation may also be used to support emotional processing, so you can experience relief and desensitization from related triggers.

What you can expect from me

Let's be real- the first session can often feel intimidating or awkward, especially if it's your first time in therapy. Which is completely normal; we are strangers to one another in the beginning of this process.

My focus of our time will be to get a general understanding of who you are and what you want to get out of therapy. You get to decide how much (or how little) you wish to share- there is never any pressure to go into anything you aren't ready for. I am always happy to share about myself as well, if that helps you to feel more comfortable.

After gathering some background, we will review policies, explore session frequency, and establish goals. In general, you can expect me to engage in our sessions in a way that balances human connection and clinical guidance.
