Great to meet you!

My path began at eight years old. I was watching TV, saw someone crying, and loudly declared that I wanted to help sad people when I grew up. The adults chuckled, but I meant it—and that moment ended up shaping the course of my life. I’ve spent nearly twenty years working with people in various roles: as a teacher, a nanny, a CASA volunteer, a child development consultant, and now as a therapist. Along the way, my own experiences with grief, trauma, and chronic pain deepened my understanding of what it means to struggle, to feel unseen, or to carry something heavy for a long time. This work isn’t just something I do, it’s something I genuinely care about.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, helping you understand how past and present experiences shape your emotions, relationships, and daily life. Our work starts with building trust because healing happens in safe, supportive relationships. To begin, we’ll explore what’s been hard, what’s helped (or hasn’t), and what you hope life can feel like. I’ll meet you with warmth, honesty, and curiosity, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. Progress might look like feeling more connected to yourself, setting boundaries, or finding moments of relief where there used to be overwhelm. I work best with clients who are open to reflection and ready for real, meaningful change, even if it’s slow.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start. We’ll focus on creating a space where you can show up as you are and begin talking through what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, while also making room for what already helps you cope and feel grounded. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth. I bring training in approaches like ACT, DBT, Polyvagal Theory, and grief work, but I see therapy as a partnership where your insight into your own life is just as important as any clinical framework.
