Great to meet you!

I am an Indigenous, Latina, and Somatic-based therapist from the Sonoran Desert. I am bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Working to remove the barriers that trauma creates is my expertise. I hold my B.F.A in Dance, a Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology/Dance Movement Therapy, and I am EMDR and DARe certified. In my professional career I have worked as an educator and therapist, with over 25 years of experience, serving diverse ethnic and LGBTQ communities. I currently see clients in person in Tucson, Arizona, and I have flexibility in scheduling after the initial consult. I am licensed in Arizona and Colorado. I can see clients via virtual visits in both states.

My approach to therapy

I am passionate about people and the diversity inherent in being human. I believe that our connections and collaborations with others can be a tremendous asset to healing. I integrate a Body-Centered approach to my work in trauma. In witnessing the barriers and potential in you, I facilitate a movement towards being the person that you would like to be. I have expertise in working with Attachment, Developmental Trauma, Racialized Trauma, PTSD, EMDR, Diversity Issues, Depression, Relational Challenges, Parts Works, and Personal Development.

I incorporate a holistic approach to service, taking into consideration the neurobiological, physiological, energetic, intrapersonal, familial, communal and societal contributors to a person’s resources and challenges.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we will take time to get a sense of your resources and challenging edges. You will be invited to share what feels relevant to your healing journey so that I might be able to understand your goals. I may introduce you to various treatment modalities, and we might try mini experientials so that you may gain a better understanding of what is possible through our work together. Your safety and spacing and pacing in a session are of great importance, because I believe in your ability to lead the way to your health. My role would be to offer support, direction, and ally-ship towards your wellness.
