Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC) with over 20 years of nursing experience. My work in both medical and mental health settings has shaped my belief that emotional well-being is deeply connected to overall health. I am passionate about supporting individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or simply not like themselves.

I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and ADHD. I provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric medication management while also incorporating supportive therapy and practical lifestyle strategies when appropriate.

As a bilingual provider, I value cultural understanding and strive to create a space where you feel respected, safe, and truly heard. I believe healing begins with connection, and my goal is to build a collaborative relationship where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I provide compassionate, individualized care and take time to truly listen and understand your experiences. My approach combines evidence-based psychiatric medication management with solution-focused strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive counseling, and practical tools to help you feel more stable and empowered. I value collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and clear communication so we can create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and supports your daily life.

What you can expect from me

Starting psychiatric care can feel vulnerable, and it’s completely normal to have questions or mixed emotions about beginning. In our first session, my priority is to create a calm, supportive environment where you feel safe to share at your own pace.

We’ll talk about what has been weighing on you and what led you to seek support. I may gently ask about your emotional experiences, health history, sleep, stressors, and daily life to better understand the full picture. There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to — we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

This first session is about building understanding, connection, and a thoughtful plan forward. You don’t have to have everything figured out — just showing up is enough. Reaching out can feel like the hardest step, but you don’t have to navigate this alone. Whenever you feel ready, I welcome you to schedule a session. We’ll take it one step at a time.
