Hello. My name is Monica Brown Hall. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) of approximately 21 years. My practice is in California, providing individual telehealth therapy to adult clients ages eighteen and up. I work with clients who experience anxiety, stress, depression, chronic illness, relationship challenges, employment, phase of life/transitioning, academic and/or learning challenges.
My approach to therapy is from a listener and strengths perspective, meeting clients where they are, validating, providing resources, support, and a person-centered approach. I do have a sense of humor while maintaining respect. My focus areas of practice are person in environment, that is, how life, community, and social issues impact an individual's day-to-day functioning. This allows the client and I to obtain a sense of challenges they’ve experienced and streamline their strengths.
The first therapy session clients are given an opportunity to be heard. This allows me to listen, gather information, offer support, feedback and or recommendations, and to clarify any questions they may have. This also allows the client and I to establish goals for treatment.
