Great to meet you!

Hello. I'm a licensed clinical social worker based in Illinois. I received my master's degree in social work from Southern Illinois University in 2011 and have been providing therapy for 15 years. My specialty is working with all age groups and assisting them with coping with the emotions in a positive/healthy manner. I assist people identify life changing events from their past that have affected them in present day and will work on a foundation of coping skills.

My approach to therapy

I have the ability to communicate in a way that makes a person feel safe and comfortable to be themselves. I've learned to follow the lead of the person I work with. I have the ability to read body language/micro expressions which will also assist with identifying topics that may be uncomfortable for a person to discuss. I believe in utilizing different types of therapeutic interventions in order to achieve the most successful completion of treatment goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session will be about what are the current issues and possibly begin a comprehensive assessment to establish a how to begin the therapeutic process.
