Known for collaborating effectively with parents, caregivers, physicians, educators, and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver coordinated, high-quality care. Recognized for exceptional communication, sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and a compassionate approach that fosters trust and positive therapeutic outcomes.

My approach to therapy

Specialize in supporting older adolescents and emerging adults as they transition into adulthood through developmentally appropriate, evidence-based care. Utilize a client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to promote emotional wellness, resilience, independent living skills, healthy relationships, identity development, and successful navigation of educational, career, and life transitions.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy is a meaningful step, and it's natural to feel a little nervous. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you or your child can feel comfortable being yourselves.

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, family relationships, strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve through therapy. This conversation helps me gain a better understanding of your unique experiences while giving you the opportunity to ask questions and determine whether we're a good fit.

For children and adolescents, I believe parents and caregivers are valuable partners in the therapeutic process. Depending on your child's age and needs, I will spend time meeting with both the parent and child while also ensuring your child has a safe, confidential space to express themselves. Together, we'll discuss expectations for therapy, confidentiality, communication, and how we can work collaboratively to support your child's growth and well-being.

The first session is focused on building trust rather than solving everything at once. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable sharing. Therapy moves at a pace that feels safe and respectful, allowing a strong therapeutic relationship to develop over time.

By the end of our session, we'll identify your primary goals, discuss initial recommendations, and create a personalized treatment plan designed to help you or your child build resilience, develop effective coping skills, strengthen relationships, and achieve lasting emotional wellness. My commitment is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care while walking alongside you throughout your therapeutic journey.
