Great to meet you!

The process of therapy can be a place to explore patterns that can keep us stuck or create suffering in our lives.Life is worth living and it requires action steps. I have training in DBT and CBT.I have experience working with individuals who may be dealing with a variety of issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, loneliness, relationship problems, self-criticism, life transitions, and family of origin issues.

My approach to therapy

Monica enjoys using humor and bringing her authentic self to her sessions. She loves getting to know people and their history, and tend to pull from past experiences to help make sense of our current thoughts and behaviors. Due to her clinical training and background, Monica also incorporates education and implementation of new, tangible skills in her practice to help individuals increase effectiveness .

What you can expect from me

You can expect to leave sessions feeling more compassionate toward yourself, clearer about what matters most to you, and more confident in handling life’s challenges. We’ll work together on skills to manage strong emotions, cope with stress, and make choices that help you live a life that feels true to who you are.
