Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience. I've worked with a broad range of individuals with a variety of issues, from stress management and life transitions to anxiety issues and depression/bipolar illness. I've been fortunate to have the experience of working in many settings, including outpatient therapy clinics, in-home treatment, intensive hospital-based programs, & residential facilities. I currently offer individual therapy for adults in person (in Colorado Springs) and virtually (for both Colorado & California residents).

My approach to therapy

It's often helpful to develop some insights as to how our belief system contributes to our emotions and, ultimately, our behaviors. Learning to question our assumptions and experiment with new behaviors leads to healthier coping strategies which help us thrive. I'm a fan of challenging folks with "homework tasks" to try outside of our sessions, but we'll work together to make sure these are realistic, can be done in your everyday life, and aren't an additional stressor for you!

What you can expect from me

We can't avoid the stressors of life, but we can learn to get better at coping effectively with them. I'm here to partner with you on this journey. I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space to learn new ways of thinking and develop different ways to cope with your challenges. If you're taking psychiatric medication, I also strive (with your permission) to actively partner with your prescribing medical provider to coordinate care for you.
