Great to meet you!

I obtained my MA in Psychology/Applied Behavior Analysis and started my career in 2007 as Board Certified Behavior Analyst providing behavioral therapy to children with autism and adults with intellectual disabilities I also provided supports to families and caregivers, including siblings. In 2019, I obtained my PhD in Educational Psychology and began teaching as an adjunct faculty in applied behavior analysis. In my continued work as a BCBA, I always felt like there was more I could do for individuals, families, and caregivers who had autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities. I decided to obtain my Master of Social Work degree, graduating in 2024 with a desire to help other facing both behavior and mental health challenges. Areas of expertise include: Autism Spectrum Disorders/ADHD/Neurodivergence, Intellectual and developmental disabilities, Children and Adolescents including behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, and other behavioral/mental health concerns, Caregiver/sibling support and parent training, Anxiety/Depression, Trauma

My approach to therapy

I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome challenges and find their strengths to empower them to live meaningful, independent lives. I use an eclectic approach to therapy which is heavily grounded in cognitive behavioral therapies such as mindfulness-based interventions and acceptance and commitment therapy. I also use trauma-informed, strength-based interventions, and a person-centered approach aimed at creating a safe space where clients feel empowered to find and cultivate their own strengths and push toward resiliency and living the life they desire.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will provide an overview of my services, gather some information about you and what you're looking for from therapy, and conduct a brief diagnostic evaluation to gather background information and history. Together, we will identify some specific goals and develop a treatment plan for ongoing sessions. And, of course, I will answer any questions you may have!
