Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Monica McDowell! I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 10 years. My professional work has historically been in the medical setting, and I am now a counselor in private practice. I also have a long volunteer history in crisis intervention. My strong background in bodywork also compliments my Somatic Therapy training (a holistic, mind-body approach).

Connecting with people who are experiencing the need for support in dealing with big changes is where I am comfortable!

My approach to therapy

I will meet you where you are at. From a person-centered approach, I want to hear you and will support you with a strong sense of empathy. Together we can determine the best solution-focused pathways for healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

My goals are to provide you with a safe and transparent environment for you to feel supported in learning about yourself and making positive changes. I believe the path to successful outcomes is different for everyone and can change over time - that is why we can make the therapy tailored to your needs and not the other way around!
