Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Monica McKee. I’m a passionate LMFT dedicated to helping couples, individuals, and first responder families navigate life’s challenges, heal from past wounds, and strengthen their relationships. Whether you're navigating relationship challenges, working through trauma, or seeking greater self-understanding, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and care.

I’ve been married for 25 years and understand that relationships can bring both joy and struggle. This personal experience, combined with my clinical training, allows me to approach couples work with empathy and practical insight. As the spouse of a first responder, I also have a deep appreciation for the unique stressors first responder families face and am honored to support them in therapy. I speak conversational Spanish and enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds.

I specialize in helping couples and families reconnect and heal through an attachment-based approach, exploring how early relationships influence the ways we love, trust, and communicate. I’m trained in EMDR and I'm a Gottman Method Couples Level 2 practitioner, an evidence-based approach that helps couples improve communication, deepen emotional connection, and rebuild trust.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology from Pennsylvania State University in 2010, and my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University in 2023, with a focus on trauma.

My approach to therapy

I'm dedicated to supporting individuals and couples on their journey to personal and relational fulfillment. I have a strong passion for fostering positive change. I specialize in helping couples and families reconnect and heal through an attachment-based approach, exploring how early relationship patterns shape the way we love, trust, and communicate. I use a trauma-informed approach to ensure a safe, grounded, and supportive space for deeper understanding and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment. We will work together to identify goals, explore patterns, and develop strategies for achieving lasting change. I am committed to fostering a space where you can authentically express yourself, break through limiting patterns, and co-create a road map for lasting transformation.
