I have many years of experience in the Social Work field ranging in ages from pre-natal to geriatric issues. My bi-cultural and bilingual knowledge base allows me to work with individuals that may struggle with service access. Establishing a good rapport with people is essential to building a working relationship that the client wants to invest in and explore. You are the expert on you and I use different techniques to help you explain what you know about you.

My initial focus is conversation that helps me see and hear the needs, wants, desires and expectations. I seek clarification from the patient to assure I am hearing their story. I consider it an honor to walk along side anyone who seeks to discover something about themselves which leads to resolutions to long held concerns or confusion. Because you are the expert you teach me your "emotional dance" and ask me to join you. Along the way, we'll laugh, we will cry, we'll celebrate and mourn.

My desire is for the client to ponder what was said during a session, put into practice any skills taught when they believe it is safe to use it during the week we don't talk, be able to voice what works for them and feel emotionally, spiritually and physically safe in the environments they operate daily. My goal is for them to leave the therapy session with confidence to face daily living and minimize the negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors that cause problems for them in their lives.
