Great to meet you!

I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2018. Since acquiring my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification, I have provided therapeutic support to clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, anger management, parenting difficulties, life transitions, career-related issues, immigration adjustment, grief, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

My approach to therapy

Navigating life’s challenges can at times feel overwhelming and may lead to feelings of uncertainty or disconnection. My goal is to support individuals in rediscovering their strengths, fostering resilience, and achieving meaningful personal growth. I utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I believe that every person is the author of their own story, and I am committed to providing a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment that encourages healing, self-awareness, and lasting change at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

What you can expect from me

During the initial session, clients can expect a supportive, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where they are encouraged to share their concerns, experiences, and goals for therapy at a pace that feels comfortable. The first session is primarily focused on gathering information about your personal history, current challenges, emotional well-being, and any factors impacting daily functioning. We will also discuss your goals for treatment, explore what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process, and review any questions or concerns you may have about therapy. This session serves as an opportunity to begin building a collaborative therapeutic relationship, establish trust, and develop an initial plan tailored to your individual needs and goals.
