Great to meet you!

I’m Monica Quioco, a licensed therapist with over twenty years of experience in social work and therapy. I work with individuals who are carrying trauma, grief, anxiety, and overwhelming life stressors, and I know how heavy it can feel to hold all of that on your own. My style is warm, steady, and deeply supportive, and I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to begin moving forward. My background in social work has shaped the way I show up in therapy: with compassion, respect, and a deep belief in each person’s natural capacity to heal. It is meaningful to me to walk alongside clients as they rediscover their strengths, reconnect with themselves, and begin creating meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is strengths-based, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you already carry important inner resources, even if they feel far away right now. I primarily work with individuals, and together we focus on recognizing your existing strengths, understanding what you are carrying, and building practical tools for managing emotions, navigating life’s challenges, and strengthening resilience. My philosophy is that therapy should help you feel both supported and capable. I want our work to be a space where healing feels possible, goals feel meaningful, and progress feels connected to the life you actually want to live. Rather than focusing only on what is wrong, I focus on helping clients reconnect with what is strong, steady, and still possible within them.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is to create a gentle, welcoming space where you feel truly seen and heard. We will take time to talk about what has been weighing on you, what has brought you to therapy, and what kind of support would feel most helpful to you. You can share at your own pace, and there is no pressure to tell everything all at once. Together, we will begin shaping a path forward that feels thoughtful, supportive, and grounded in your goals for healing and change.
