Great to meet you!

I am bilingual (English and Spanish) mental health therapist who is passionate about supporting diverse communities. I understand the important role that culture, language, family dynamics, traditions, and experiences can play in a person's identity and emotional well-being. I strives to create a culturally responsive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. I earned my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling with a Bilingual Concentration from Teachers College, Columbia University, and my Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and informed by social justice oriented principles. I believe that each client is the expert on their own life, and I strive to provide a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to share your experiences. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you to help you gain insight, build on your strengths, and discover solutions that align with your values and goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, parts of your personal history, and what you hope to gain from counseling. I'll also ask questions about different areas of your life, including your relationships, family, work or school, cultural background, and any past experiences that may be impacting your well-being.
