Great to meet you!

I specialize in the areas of trauma, grief and loss, helping individuals and their loved ones adjust to life with cancer, second generation adjustment issues, and lifestyle transitions for moms and women entering perimenopause or menopause.

My approach integrates mindfulness and person-centered counseling, with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I’m also an EMDR Trained therapist.

I am a licensed professional counselor supervisor and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston.

My approach to therapy

I truly appreciate the therapeutic process and how powerful it can be.

My personal experiences have taught me that while we all struggle, it’s important to understand when to let go and ask for help.

Acceptance and self-compassion are essential to living well, and these elements are often missing from our lives.

I want to help you see the value in putting yourself first.

You deserve to be loved and nurtured, just as much as anyone else.

I want you to feel secure being who you are so that you can not only live well, but also live with more authenticity and self compassion for yourself and for others.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will review much of your history, so that I can learn about the experiences and relationships that helped shape who you are today. Additionally, if time permits we will begin exploring your goals for therapy and how we will work together to meet those goals.
