About Me
Each person presents their unique self and situation and my approach varies depending on the individual. I've found that learning to understand and accept oneself is almost always an essential part of the process. As Carl Rogers famously said, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
I am trained in experiential, emotional approaches (Internal Family Systems/parts work, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, and Somatic Intervention), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and couples therapy (Relational Life Therapy).
I work with individuals and couples facing a range of issues. I have extensive experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, family conflict and grief.
Before becoming a therapist, I was a family law attorney and a mediator. I have great empathy for those negotiating life transitions, including separation and divorce.
