Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over a decade of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I earned my Master of Social Work from Salem State University and hold licensure in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse settings including emergency psychiatric care, outpatient clinics, community outreach, and residential programs. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy and provide evidence-based treatments for a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, serious mental illness, personality disorders, difficulty with life transitions, grief/end of life, and parenting support. My practice is rooted in cultural sensitivity and a commitment to individualized care. I aim to provide a safe, respectful space where your unique story and goals guide our work together.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to meet you where you are in your journey. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing to best support your needs. I prioritize building a trusting relationship and emphasize trauma-informed care to navigate sensitive past experiences thoughtfully. My approach balances helping clients develop practical coping skills with deeper insight into emotional patterns and life challenges. I work with a wide range of concerns including complex trauma, personality disorders, serious mental illness, grief, and parenting challenges. I also believe humor and authenticity can be valuable tools in therapy when appropriate. Together, we create a treatment plan that respects your values and empowers you to build resilience and growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling understood, supported, and better equipped to manage their challenges. I aim to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your emotions and experiences safely. Together, we focus on practical skills such as emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and stress management, as well as gaining insight into long-standing patterns that impact your well-being. Clients often report feeling more grounded and empowered after sessions, with increased clarity about their goals and next steps. Whether working through grief, trauma, or navigating mental health conditions, my goal is to help you develop tools for lasting change. I strive to foster a therapeutic space that balances reflection with action, and seriousness with moments of lightness when appropriate. Ultimately, therapy with me is about partnering in your growth at your pace and according to your unique needs.
