Great to meet you!

As a former teacher, I bring a deep understanding of child development, learning differences, and the emotional challenges children and families face both at school and at home. I have worked extensively with children, particularly in grades 1–8, and I understand how anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, family changes, and life transitions can affect a child’s confidence, behavior, and daily functioning. In addition to my work with children, I am trained as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and support individuals navigating depression, anxiety, divorce recovery, relationship issues, and life span development concerns. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel understood, encouraged, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

My approach to therapy

My approach is solution-focused, pragmatic, and collaborative. I believe therapy should help clients identify clear goals while also creating space to understand the emotional patterns, family dynamics, and life experiences that may be contributing to current struggles. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, divorce recovery, life transitions, family issues, and relationship challenges, and I tailor treatment to each person’s needs. Together, we build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and create a path forward that feels realistic, supportive, and goal-oriented.

What you can expect from me

The intake session is designed to gather important background information, including family of origin experiences, current concerns, and the goals you hope to achieve in therapy. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, divorce recovery, family issues, or life transitions, the first session helps us begin developing a sense of compatibility and a shared direction for treatment. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and more hopeful, with a clearer understanding of how we can work together to support growth and healing.
