Great to meet you!

I will begin scheduling consultations the week of July 13th. Please join the waitlist here: https://strengthstory.clientsecure.me/contact-widget

I treasure the opportunity to partner with adult clients desiring to improve relationships, heal from trauma, improve thought patterns, and navigate life transitions or loss. With a holistic, trauma-informed lens, I utilize somatic, CBT, DBT, parts work, EMDR and DNMS. In plain language, my approach focuses on improving emotional capacity through strengthening a mind-body connection with emotion and thoughts, and integrating positive beliefs and emotional experiences into areas of trauma and disordered thought.

My own history of chronic health conditions, and the traumatic journey through a disconnected healthcare system, and beneficial alternative healing modalities, fueled my passion to pursue education for mental health care.

I obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary while working and raising children. My educational journey was incredibly formative of awareness of my power and presence in a therapeutic setting, due to its inclusion of self care and personal development, multi-cultural spiritual integration, and professional mentoring. I had the honor and privilege of training in integrated substance recovery and integrated inpatient psychiatric settings in Denver, Colorado. Following this program, I have continued professional growth through supervisory relationships with compassionate and esteemed leaders and educators. My education, mentoring and supervisory relationships have fueled a desire to learn more about mental health, leading me to ancillary training in EMDR, DNMS, experiential therapy, somatic therapy, dissociation and parts work, and spiritual integration.

I am excited about the exponential growth in collective understanding of mind-body connection contributing to wholeness and compassionate care for ourselves and our world.

My approach to therapy

First, please know that you are the expert on you. So, consider me a trained, experienced, collaborative, and encouraging partner in the healing and growth path we are curating. On this path, my collaboration and encouragement will be from a holistic trauma-informed perspective, meaning that your ability to function and feel safe is our first priority. From there, we will harness the strength in your soul as you take steps towards healing and growth. Measurable healing and growth should be experienced as improved emotional capacity, emotional regulation, and value-aligned behaviors and relationships.

What you can expect from me

I counsel from a belief that stories are meant to be shared, human beings are beautifully complex, and strength is found in community. I also counsel holistically, considering your body, mind, soul and spirit. When we work together, you will experience more peace, health and wisdom by unfolding your story, creating a path for healing and growth. Outside of session, you will have the opportunity to avail yourself of resources supporting your treatment goals.
