Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Monica! I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor (LISW-S) with experience supporting adults and young adults through some of life’s most complicated and vulnerable seasons. I’ve supported people at all different stages of life and healing.

I hold both my BSW and MSW from the University of Cincinnati, and I’ve received additional training in trauma, anxiety/ocd, EMDR, and cognitive-behavioral interventions. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, self-worth challenges, and relational stress. I also provide clinical supervision for new and developing therapists, which keeps me grounded in both the emotional and practical realities of the work.

On a personal level, I know what it’s like to feel stuck between "who I was" and "who I’m trying to become." Therapy isn’t about fixing people, it’s about making space for the you underneath the noise. My goal is to help you feel safe, understood, and like you’re not in it alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative with a little bit of laughter along the way, because life is too unpredictable to be taken too seriously all the time. I believe humor can be healing, especially when you're working through hard things.

I'm not the “smile-and-nod” kind of therapist. I’m engaged, curious, and here to help you unpack the messy stuff without judgment. I blend cognitive-behavioral strategies with narrative work, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches, always tailoring sessions to your needs and pace.

Therapy with me feels like a real conversation where you can breathe, reflect, laugh (or cry), and challenge yourself safely. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also help you challenge and confront the patterns that are holding you back.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to walk away from our sessions with a deeper understanding of yourself, practical tools to manage your symptoms, and more clarity about the patterns that are shaping your emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

You’ll leave with language for what you’re experiencing, a stronger connection to your own voice, and realistic strategies to move forward. We’ll focus on making sure you’re not just processing things, but also learning how to cope, communicate, and care for yourself in ways that actually work in real life.

My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, respected, and equipped to keep growing even when things are hard.
