Great to meet you!

Monique Gusman is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over nine years of experience in the mental health field, including more than one and a half years providing counseling as a licensed clinician. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to work toward meaningful change.

Monique believes that every individual has unique strengths and the capacity for growth. She works collaboratively with clients to help them navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and develop practical coping skills that support emotional well-being. Her approach is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to each person's individual needs and goals.

Whether clients are working through anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, relationship concerns, or personal growth, Monique is dedicated to helping them gain insight, foster healing, and achieve lasting positive change.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey built on trust, respect, and authenticity. My approach is client-centered, meaning I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working toward meaningful change. This version is intentionally broad and fits many counseling practices. If you use specific modalities—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person-Centered Therapy, or trauma-informed care—I can weave those into your approach so it more accurately reflects your style.

What you can expect from me

When you meet with me, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you are encouraged to be yourself. My goal is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship that allows you to feel heard, understood, and respected.
