Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed trauma specialist dedicated to helping individuals heal from the emotional and physical wounds of trauma, including transgenerational and cultural trauma. With advanced training in EMDR, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy, I support those who have experienced childhood trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, and the lingering effects of inherited or culturally-based pain.

Trauma exists on a spectrum, and many people invalidate their own experiences by comparing them to others. Statements like “It wasn’t that bad” or “Other people have been through worse” often result in minimizing one’s pain, which leads to neglect of internalized trauma. This avoidance can show up as a dysfunctional relationship with self, difficulty connecting with others, and self-destructive cycles.

Unresolved trauma can surface in subtle and overt ways: through addictions, self-sabotage, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, unhealthy relationship cycles, and increased vulnerability to psychological, physical, and emotional abuse. Whether you're healing from childhood trauma, cultural wounds, attachment ruptures, or are experiencing emotional symptoms without knowing why, I offer a space of deep presence, insight, and transformation.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, challenging, and empowering, focused on equipping clients with the tools they need to navigate life more effectively. Many of us didn't receive the necessary resources growing up, but it's never too late to start building those skills. I work alongside clients to challenge cognitive distortions and unhelpful schemas that hinder both their internal sense of self and their relationships with others. Through this process, we create lasting change that fosters growth, resilience, and healthier connections.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I honor that. In our first session together, the focus is simply on getting to know one another. Some clients speak very little in the beginning, while others feel a strong need to share their entire life story right away, hoping for some relief. There’s no right or wrong way to begin.

I offer a calm, grounded space where you can show up exactly as you are. My priority in our first session is to help you feel safe and supported while gently introducing the first step of the healing process—building a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust. We’ll take things slowly and intentionally, letting the process unfold at a pace that feels right for you.
