Great to meet you!

I’m Monique Miles, a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL). I provide virtual therapy for individuals, couples, and families across Texas and Florida. I specialize in helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build emotional resilience, and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space but also a productive one. I work alongside you to not only process what you’ve been through, but to help you move forward with intention and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My work blends EMDR (an evidence-based therapy for trauma), Gottman-informed couples work, and family systems thinking. That combination lets us do two things at once: calm what your nervous system is still carrying, and change the patterns playing out in your closest relationships right now.

As a Black female therapist and business owner, I’m also deeply committed to creating an inclusive and culturally responsive space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel understood and respected. I value authenticity, collaboration, and practical tools, so clients leave sessions not only feeling supported, but equipped with strategies they can apply in their daily lives.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is designed to help you feel comfortable, understood, and supported from the very beginning. During this initial session, we’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’ve been experiencing. Together, we’ll explore your concerns, your goals, and what you would like to see change in your life or relationships. You’ll have the opportunity to share your story at your own pace without pressure or judgment.

I’ll also walk you through how I approach therapy, including the methods I use to support individuals, couples, and families. This helps you understand what our work together can look like and ensures you feel confident moving forward. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of direction and begin creating a plan tailored to your needs. Most importantly, this session is about connection. Finding the right therapist matters, and this is your opportunity to see if this feels like the right fit for you.
