Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Monique Owe, LCSW. I’ve spent the past 22 years in the emotional and mental healing field, with 14 of those years as an independently licensed clinician. My work centers on helping people reconnect with the version of themselves that can navigate life’s complexities with more clarity, confidence, and compassion.

Clients come to me for many reasons, moving through a breakup, facing relationship challenges, coping with depression, grief, or anxiety, or simply trying to make sense of a season of life that feels heavy or confusing. Sometimes you just need a space where you can finally say the things you’ve been holding in. I provide that space.

My approach is warm, direct, and supportive. I listen deeply, I don’t judge, and I help you understand yourself in ways that make moving forward feel possible. My goal is to walk alongside you as you rediscover your strength, your voice, and your capacity to heal.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in careful listening, genuine empathy, and thoughtful exploration. I create a space where you can speak freely, reflect deeply, and feel truly heard. I ask meaningful questions that help you uncover the clarity you’ve been searching for, while also highlighting the patterns or barriers that may be getting in the way of where you want to be.

When it’s needed, I offer compassionate but impactful feedback. Some may call this direct, I see it as intentional, tailored to what you need in the moment. My goal is to support you in understanding yourself more fully, navigating challenges with greater confidence, and moving toward the version of yourself that feels aligned, grounded, and capable.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a safe, dedicated space that is entirely centered on you, your thoughts, your concerns, and your feelings. This is your time to exhale, to speak freely, and to begin exploring what has brought you here.

Together, we’ll start mapping out the journey toward the version of yourself or the situation you desire. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you begin identifying what you want to work toward and what may be standing in the way. The first session is the beginning of understanding your story and laying the foundation for the work we’ll do together.
