I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor in Ohio, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky, and an EMDR-Certified therapist with over 10 years of experience in mental health and substance use treatment. I specialize in individual therapy using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) within a cognitive behavioral and trauma-informed framework.
I work with adults from all cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My practice is grounded in respect, cultural humility, and the belief that meaningful therapy happens when you feel safe, understood, and empowered.
Clients describe my style as calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental. Sessions are collaborative and focused both on what you’re experiencing right now and on long-term growth. In our first session, you can expect a thoughtful conversation where we begin understanding your concerns in a safe, steady space.
EMDR Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma, Nightmares, and Fear-Based Experiences
EMDR therapy can help reduce anxiety, intrusive memories, nightmares, panic, and persistent fear responses—especially when you feel stuck in patterns that feel overwhelming in your body. In sessions, we identify specific memories linked to current distress and explore the emotions, negative beliefs, and physical sensations connected to them. Through bilateral stimulation, we gradually decrease the emotional intensity of those experiences so they feel less triggering and more resolved. EMDR is structured, collaborative, and paced carefully, with you remaining in control as your nervous system builds greater stability.
For Those Feeling Stuck, Lost, or in a Rut
Sometimes there isn’t one major traumatic event—just a lingering sense of burnout, dissatisfaction, anxiety, or disconnection. You may notice repeated relationship patterns, self-doubt, or uncertainty about your direction. Through traditional psychotherapy, we deepen insight into your values, beliefs, thought patterns, and emotional responses. By combining self-understanding with practical coping tools, we create meaningful, sustainable change.
Alcohol and Substance Use Support (Harm Reduction & Recovery-Focused)
I provide alcohol and substance use support through a trauma-informed, harm reduction lens. Whether your goal is abstinence, moderation, or better understanding your relationship with substances, we’ll define goals collaboratively. Together, we’ll identify triggers and emotional drivers, develop a relapse prevention plan, strengthen coping skills, and explore supportive connections, including peer recovery resources when appropriate. My approach is respectful and nonjudgmental, creating a safe space where lasting change can happen.
Therapy with me is collaborative, steady, and practical. We focus on helping you feel more grounded while working toward meaningful progress. My approach integrates EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
When life feels overwhelming, therapy can be a place to finally exhale.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, identity questions, relationship stress, or recovery, you don’t have to handle it alone. Reaching out can feel like a big step—especially if you’re used to managing everything yourself—but you deserve support that helps you feel more confident, connected, and whole.
