Great to meet you!

Seeking help takes courage and I’m here to support you through that first step and beyond. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, or life transitions, I believe therapy offers space for healing and growth. My style is grounded, collaborative and integrative. I believe every client’s story is unique, and I tailor treatment to meet your specific needs and goals. I have a wide range of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying life experiences. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with men and women of various ages, teens, members of the LGBTQIA+ communities, Native American clients, and many others.

My approach to therapy

It is my belief therapy is a collaborative process and that you are the expert on your own life. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself. I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which may help us explore connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills can support emotional regulation, distress tolerance and healthier communication. Mindfulness based interventions and grounding exercises may help you manage stress, increase self-awareness, and stay present during difficult moments. I also incorporate strengths based approaches to help recognize existing abilities, build confidence, and encourage personal growth. My experience working with diverse populations has shaped my belief in the importance of meeting each client where they are and tailoring treatment to their individual needs. Together, we will identify goals and develop practical strategies that align with your needs, values, and strengths.

What you can expect from me

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy! Our first 50 minute session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying what you home to gain from our work together. I may ask questions about your experiences, current concerns, and goals but you are always in control of what you feel comfortable sharing. We will work together to determine whether we are a good fit and what approach best supports your needs. I strive to meet you where you are, without judgement or pressure to have all the answers. My hope is that from our first session to our last you will always leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and increasingly confident in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.
