Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Morgan Cohen, and I'm so glad you're here.

As a therapist, I believe in the powerful stories we all carry. The relationships, experiences, and backgrounds that have shaped you are all part of your unique journey, and it's a true privilege to be invited into that space. I grew up in a big family in Chicago, which taught me so much about navigating all kinds of personalities and finding common ground. As a twin, I also learned early on about the beautiful complexity of identity and the importance of having a strong support system. Having experienced childhood trauma myself, I understand the effect it can have on our minds, bodies, and spirits. I am incredibly passionate about helping individuals and families heal from these painful experiences so they can feel empowered to live the full, present life they deserve. After earning my bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa, I moved to Colorado to begin my social work career. I received my master's in Social Work from the University of Denver and completed two years of clinical work to earn my Clinical Social Work License. The mountains have become my grounding force, and I try to bring that same sense of peace and perspective into every session. When I'm not with clients, you can find me exploring the outdoors, traveling somewhere new, cooking a comforting meal, or spending time with family and friends.

My approach to therapy

Clients can expect to take away a deeper understanding of their unique story—the relationships, experiences, and background that have shaped them—within a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space. Drawing on a trauma-informed and eclectic approach, they will gain practical tools and enhanced resilience to navigate the lasting effects of painful experiences, moving toward healing and empowerment. Ultimately, sessions are designed to help clients build on their inherent strengths, create a clear path forward, and live the full life they deserve, grounded by a sense of peace and self-acceptance. If you are bringing your child to therapy, you can expect our sessions to be a space of genuine fun and profound healing. Recognizing that play is a child's natural language, I integrate play therapy as a fun, affirming, and explorative way for them to process their world. Through creative mediums like art, storytelling, imaginative play, and structured play, your child will have the freedom to express feelings they may not yet have the words for. Our work together will foster their inherent resilience, helping them safely navigate painful experiences, build emotional understanding, and ultimately move toward healing and growth in a way that feels natural and empowering to them. I take an eclectic, trauma-informed approach, tailoring my practice to meet you exactly where you are. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we'll work as a team to explore your story, build on your strengths, and create a path forward. I'm here to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to be your authentic self and begin your healing journey. I look forward to hearing your story!
