Great to meet you!

In my years of experience in counseling, I've worked with individuals and couples facing a wide range of challenges. My specialties include substance abuse, eating disorders, depression and other mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, and grief. I believes that we are all stronger when we work together, and she is committed to supporting you through your difficulties, reminding you that you don’t have to face them alone.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I mainly use Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, with a person-centered, solution-focused approach. I believe thoughts have power over perceptions and behaviors, and perhaps if we increase your mindfulness and self-awareness, we can tune in to the source of difficulty and/or discord. From there, we will develop some specific and effective coping skills and strategies to help you back onto the life path you desire.

What you can expect from our first session

I am effective with many issues, specifically addiction, grief, life changes, stress and anxiety. Using CBT, DBT skill-based techniques as well as mindfulness, I encourage my clients to consider new ideas and attitudes about their lives and I strive to help them identify and implement effective coping skills. Most clients report relief right away and noticeable progress within 2 to 3 sessions.
