Great to meet you!
Hi, I'm Morgan! Your therapist.
I find it most comforting to know about the person I will be talking to, so let me tell you a little about myself.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals of diverse groups navigate their mental health journeys; [I’ve worked with many individuals specifically in the LGBTQIA+ community in navigating their identity, ways this impacts their mental health as well as other areas of their lives]. I believe that therapy is most effective when clients feel free to be their authentic selves, allowing feelings and experiences to surface without judgment. I have extensive experience across various areas of the mental health field, and do my best to adjust my approach to meet each person's unique needs. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness exercises; I am also certified in EMDR [Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing]. I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Shippensburg University and a Master's degree [also in Social Work] from the University of Denver.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Olive, as well as my friends and family. I love being outside, listening to music, trying new things and starting new projects—though I admit I don’t always finish them.
I use a compassionate approach and commit to fostering a safe, welcoming space for individuals seeking growth and healing.
