Great to meet you!

As a clinical psychologist, I work closely with clients to identify specific goals to reduce distress and learn concrete strategies to manage anxiety and depression. Rapport with a client is huge, so making sure that clients feel empowered to give feedback about what is working or not working for them in therapy is a pillar of our therapeutic relationship.

My approach to therapy

I use evidence-based approaches while recognizing that the real world requires adaptation. I emphasize interpersonal relationships and improving relationships with our environment (e.g., home setting, work situation, etc.). I use cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and some dialectical skills therapy practices based to match a client's self-identified goal with an effective road to change.

What you can expect from me

As a clinician with extensive background in neurodiversity, I consider the first session an opportunity to figure out therapist-client fit. Depending on what the client needs, there is plenty of room for active discussion, silence, and emotional release. My goal is the client's comfort and to have a gentle initial session, regardless of whether this is someone's first time in therapy or 100th.
