Great to meet you!

I received my Master's in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2014. My clinical values are deeply rooted in the ethos of social work, which is that to understand any person, you must understand the context of their life. This includes your family of origin, socioeconomic status, any discrimination you face, and your religious or spiritual belief system. All of these parts of your life will be essential to bring into the therapy space to understand best what ails you and where we might find remedies within you and your community.

My approach to therapy

I am but a fellow traveler on this journey. Facing your deepest fears and wishes can be frightening, and as such, coming into therapy may be a difficult decision to make. Whether you are experiencing grief and loss, past traumas and painful memories, difficulties in your work or career, or something more difficult to describe.

My approach to therapy is born out of seeking to understand all that you are. Each therapy relationship is different and may change over time. Finding how I can help begins with sitting with one another and seeing how that feels, and from there, we can face the questions at the heart of the process, together.

What you can expect from me

Our first session together focuses on listening to what has led you to seek treatment at this time. We will also go over your and my expectations for therapy to determine whether this will be a good "fit." I recommend that we meet at least three times to give us each time to get to know one another.
