Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist currently in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have worked as a psychotherapist for more than twenty years, and as a mediator and conflict management consultant for even longer. I have worked with a diverse array of clients from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. I specialize in couples and family counseling, with a focus on teaching life skills that enhance communication and facilitate peace.

My approach to therapy

As a family systems therapist, I support clients as they look back at their families of origin and identify formative patterns and events that have shaped their thoughts and behaviors. I also utilize CBT techniques to assist clients in examining thoughts that they find to be maladaptive, and to strategize with them as they reframe these thoughts and develop more functional behaviors.

What you can expect from me

In therapy with me, clients can expect to explore how they have been affected by their life experiences, and to be supported as they acquire new skills so that they can create and execute new plans to redirect their lives.
