Great to meet you!

Mucella holds an M.A. in Psychological Counseling (2020) and an M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling (2021) from Columbia University. She brings over five years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults and now specializes in supporting adults ages 18–45 from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Her clinical training spans private practice, school-based, and university settings. She works with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, difficulties with emotional regulation, and life transitions, with a focus on fostering well-being, resilience, and meaningful personal growth.

My approach to therapy

Mucella works from a relational, integrative approach grounded in Person-Centered therapy and informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic principles. She incorporates mindfulness and somatic techniques to strengthen emotional regulation, deepen self-awareness, and support values-based change.

What you can expect from me

Mucella offers a warm, collaborative space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences with openness and compassion. In the first session, she takes a holistic approach to understanding each client's background, current concerns, strengths, and goals while building a strong foundation for the therapeutic work ahead.

As therapy progresses, Mucella supports individuals in gaining insight, strengthening self-trust, and shifting recurring patterns that may be holding them back. Together, they work toward greater resilience, clarity, and lasting, meaningful change.

(Important Note: After you book a session, we'll begin with a complimentary 15-minute consultation to determine whether we're a good fit for working together. If we align, we'll proceed with the intake session and, from there, ongoing therapy sessions.)
