Great to meet you!

I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. I believe mental health care should be individualized to the person—not just focused on a diagnosis. I have a particular interest in helping patients understand how the different parts of their lives, experiences, relationships, environment, and symptoms may be affecting their overall well-being. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where patients feel heard, better understand themselves, and feel confident taking an active role in their treatment.

My approach to therapy

I believe good psychiatric care starts with understanding the whole person, not just a list of symptoms or a diagnosis. I take time to understand what is happening in your day-to-day life, what may be contributing to how you are feeling, and how your history, relationships, environment, and functioning all fit together. From there, we work collaboratively to create a treatment plan that feels practical and individualized to you. I value open communication, clear explanations, and making sure you feel heard and involved in decisions about your care.

What you can expect from me

I always start with a comprehensive first visit where we take a deep dive into your symptoms, how they are affecting your day-to-day functioning, and the different factors in your life that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing. This gives us the opportunity to really understand the full picture and talk through what you hope to achieve with treatment.

From there, we’ll work together to determine the next steps and create a plan that feels individualized to you. I also believe strongly in making sure you are receiving the right type of care. If I feel that another provider, therapist, specialist, or level of care would be a better fit for your needs, I’ll be transparent about that and help point you in the right direction rather than leaving you to figure it out on your own.
