Mylene Alberto

I am a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in mental health care. I earned my nursing degree from Seton Hall University and my master’s in Advanced Practice Nursing from New York University, where I was recognized as a Distinguished Student. My clinical training includes an internship at Bellevue Hospital and extensive experience across inpatient, outpatient, and consultation-liaison psychiatry.

Throughout my career, I have worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in private practice, a Clinical Nurse Educator at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, and a nurse manager of an inpatient psychiatric unit for 4 years and as a staff nurse for 14 years. I have also led programs to improve patient care and developed stress management training for healthcare professionals.

I bring a depth of clinical expertise along with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. My goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that helps you feel understood, supported, and empowered in your mental health journey.

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you as a whole person. I take the time to understand your experiences, symptoms, and goals, recognizing that no two individuals are the same. With my background in clinical care, education, and leadership, I focus not only on symptom relief but also on helping you build long-term coping strategies, resilience, and overall stability so you can move forward with confidence.
