Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Myra Larsen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and get 'unstuck' from their problems that will create meaningful, lasting change. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to provide the guidance, support, and evidence-based tools that help you reconnect with your strengths and move toward the life you want to live. I earned my Master of Social Work degree and have advanced training in trauma-informed therapies, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, Mindfulness & Meditation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based approaches. I specialize in working with trauma, C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and life transitions. My practice is built on creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to be yourself, explore difficult experiences, and discover new ways to heal. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they rediscover their resilience, reconnect with who they are, and build a life that feels more peaceful, authentic, and fulfilling. https://pathofpower.org/

My approach to therapy

I take an individualized, evidence-based approach because I believe there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. Together, we’ll explore not only what you’re experiencing, but why those patterns developed and how to create lasting change. I integrate therapies such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), CBT, Meditation & Mindfulness, and other trauma-informed approaches to help you better understand your mind, regulate emotions, heal from past experiences, and develop practical tools for everyday life. My focus is on helping you create meaningful, lasting transformation—not just temporary symptom relief. https://pathofpower.org/

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, the challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, strengths, and goals while making sure you have plenty of space to share your story at your own pace. By the end of our first session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how we can work together, an initial plan tailored to your needs, and, most importantly, the reassurance that you don’t have to face your struggles alone. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead. https://pathofpower.org/
