Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (LADC I) with extensive experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families navigating substance use, mental health concerns, trauma, life transitions, and other personal challenges. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself without judgment while working toward meaningful and lasting change.

My professional background includes work in behavioral health, substance use treatment, co-occurring disorders, crisis intervention, detoxification, and education. I have experience providing individual and group counseling and supporting individuals with challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, emotional regulation, relationships, and recovery.

I take a person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to therapy. I believe that every person brings their own strengths, experiences, culture, and goals into the therapeutic process. Together, we will work to better understand what is getting in the way of the life you want and develop practical tools to help you move forward.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish and welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Whether you are seeking support for recovery, emotional wellness, stress, relationships, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and supported.

My approach to therapy

I take a warm, collaborative, and holistic approach to therapy that focuses on the connection between the mind, body, emotions, and life experiences. I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all, so I work with each client to create an individualized approach based on their goals, strengths, values, culture, and needs.

My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based approaches, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. I help clients better understand patterns that may be keeping them stuck while developing practical tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, improve relationships, and create meaningful change.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, substance use and recovery, co-occurring concerns, self-esteem, boundaries, and personal growth.

For clients interested in a more integrative experience, I may incorporate complementary holistic approaches such as mindfulness-based practices, relaxation techniques, guided imagery, hypnosis/hypnotherapy techniques, and Reiki-informed energy and wellness practices, when appropriate and within the scope of my training and practice. I believe these approaches can complement traditional therapy by helping clients feel more grounded, connected, and empowered in their healing process.

My style is compassionate but direct. I will meet you where you are, while also helping you identify goals and take meaningful steps toward the life you want. Therapy can be a place to process difficult experiences, discover new perspectives, build coping skills, and reconnect with your strengths.

I offer services in both English and Spanish and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to create a safe, affirming, and supportive space where you can heal, grow, and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin creating a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and heard. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

I’ll want to learn about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you’re experiencing, what has or hasn’t worked in the past, and—most importantly—what you hope will be different in your life. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals, strengths, and areas where you would like support.

My style is warm, conversational, and collaborative, so you can expect a balance of listening, asking thoughtful questions, and helping you begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing. Depending on your needs, we may also discuss practical strategies, coping tools, and approaches that could support your healing.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, more hopeful, and with a clearer sense of what we can work on together. Therapy is a partnership, and we’ll create a plan that fits your needs, goals, and pace.
