Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I approach therapy with empathy, respect, and a genuine commitment to understanding their unique experiences. I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel safe, supported, and free from judgment.

My work is also shaped by personal experience with depression and anxiety, which has given me a deeper appreciation for the courage it takes to seek help and confront difficult emotions. Because of this, I strive to create a compassionate and collaborative space where clients feel heard and understood.

I view therapy as a partnership. Together, we work to build insight, develop practical tools, and support meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while integrating elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Client-Centered and Humanistic approaches. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which can help individuals process trauma and distressing experiences.

I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and respected. Together, we explore patterns, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. My goal is to help clients build resilience, increase self-understanding, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, my primary goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, safe, and heard. We’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

I may ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and coping strategies to better understand your experiences. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we move at a pace that feels right for you.

By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss possible approaches that may help support your progress. The first session is really about building a foundation of trust and understanding so we can work together toward meaningful change.
