Nacoya McIntosh

I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed in Arizona, with over a decade of experience in behavioral health and psychiatric nursing. My background spans correctional, outpatient, residential, and acute care settings, where I’ve worked with adolescents and adults facing a wide range of mental health concerns.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric mental health and also hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. My training and experience allow me to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, accurate DSM-5 diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based care.

My approach is patient-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and respected. I specialize in medication management, psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and the treatment of serious mental illness and co-occurring conditions. I also have experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges using principles of applied behavior analysis.
