Great to meet you!

As a Counseling Psychologist, I am interested in multicultural issues as well as how to help clients improve well-being while considering familial/systemic factors. Modalities I use are CBT, DBT, and solution focused therapy. I've worked with diverse clients providing culturally sensitive as well as Gay affirming and Transgender affirming services. In addition, I can provide career counseling services and have worked in psychiatric emergency settings providing crisis management and evaluation.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is strength based. I will be using treatment models and interventions that are backed by research and tailored to clients' needs.

I have experience working with clients presenting with a number of issues that include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, personality disorders, trauma and severe and persistent mental illness.

What you can expect from our first session

Our work together begins with an intake session where we get to know one another through a biopsychosocial interview. Then, we choose goals or ways you would like to improve your life. My job is to create an environment where you feel safe to explore feelings and thoughts as well as family dynamics and relationship dynamics.
